The Nest

The Nest provides high quality care and learning in a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for babies and young children up to 3 years. In August 2015, Ofsted rated our childcare provision as: "Outstanding"
The Nest is an integral part of our whole Centre and offers a relaxed, home from home atmosphere with ample space and excellent facilities, both inside and outside, for children to explore and learn at their own pace.  Overseen by Michelle Holmes, our Childcare Operations Manager, the Nest team have an abundance of relevant experience and early years knowledge which allows us to offer an extremely high standard of childcare and development.

Every child is allocated a special key person, responsible for developing a supportive relationship with them and their family to ensure their unique interests and needs are met.  Our latest Ofsted Report from August 2015 states that

“An exceptionally well-established key-person system helps children to form very secure attachments with staff.  This promotes children’s emotional well-being well and provides a very strong based for their learning. Staff meet children’s physical needs highly effectively”
We strongly recommend that all prospective parents come and visit us to find out more and to see for themselves the fantastic array of facilities we can offer.  We understand that choosing a suitable setting for your child is a huge decision so during your visit we will happily answer the questions you will undoubtedly have.

Moving On!

At the start of the term following their third birthday each child will usually move on to the Hive, our Ofsted outstanding nursery school (subject to capacity). From this age, each child is entitled to up to 15 hours ‘free’ government funded early education per week during term time. We put a great deal of effort into ensuring a smooth transition for each child into their new environment.  Regular visits by the children to the Hive will take place in the months leading up to their move, accompanied by their key person. The frequency of the visits increases as the time to move on approaches, allowing children to form close relationships with their new key person. This is always an exciting, and sometimes daunting time for both parents and children, and we work closely with you to ensure individual needs are met.
